Long tail cast on calculator
Need to cast on using the long tail cast on method? Not sure how much yarn to use? Well I've worked it out for you!
The long tail cast on is my favourite cast on method, it creates an elasticated edge and gives you the first row of stitches, but it also comes with the danger of running out of yarn before you've cast on the amount of stitches you need. Pick the needle size you're using and I'll tell you approximately how much yarn you'll need to cast on.
These amounts are appointees and include a 10cm (4in) cast on tail. For good luck I always add a little extra yarn.
